Jersey

Jersey is a knit fabric used mainly for clothing. It can be made of cotton, bamboo, wool or synthetic fibres. Jersey is a stretchy fabric so is perfect for t shirts, skirts, pyjamas, dresses, leggings, children's wear and lounge wear. Jersey can vary in weight and and stretch. The lighter weight jersey tends to be a single knit and is more commonly used to make t shirts. A double knit jersey is heavier and tends to have less stretch.
