Denim

Denim is a sturdy woven fabric using cotton. Denim comes in a variety of weights depending on the garment or project that is being made. Heavier denim tends to be used for jeans, dungarees, skirts, cushions, overalls, aprons, bags and lighter weight denim tends to be used for tops, shorts, etc. Some denim can contain stretch which works well in fitted garments such as trousers. Check your pattern for the fabric type needed. Denim traditionally was made in a blue colour but now denim comes in array of colours.
